NAVAL OFFICER
Wooden framed half-plate colored Daguerreotype portrait of an English Naval Officer (size 5 ½ X 4 ¼ “) . Was taken around 1854-1860 at the Beard's Photographic and Daguerrotype Institution in 31 William Street, London Bridge. The frame that measures 13½ X 11½" shows some damage at the lower right corner, restored with gold colour paint. The officer is unendentified. Name and address of photographer on the back of the picture. His seal also present at the bottom of the front. Very early portrait in excellent condition.
