FRANK WESSON MODEL 1870 MEDIUM FRAME POCKET RIFLE
#624. Cal. 32RF. 20" Full Octagonal barrel, spur trigger, square butt and rosewood grips. This is a second model with an iron frame, external push button type half cock and a standard Wesson extractor wich slides in a dovetail along the right side of the barrel. The barrel turns or rotates on its axis to the right to load. It retains about 85% of the original blue on the barrel with some flaking on the left side. The frame has practically all of the original nickel finish, hammer has 90% colour case. The skeleton type detachable shoulder stock wich numbers to the gun is in perfect condition. All serial numbers present and correct! Total production of about 5.000, this one manufactured around 1875-1880. Mechanically perfect and has a bright shiny bore. Overall excellent!
