WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 RIFLE
#33603. Rifle. Cal.40-65 W.C.F. Standard 26" inch, Octagonal barrel. Retains about 80% blue on barrel and magazine tube. Frame, lever and hammer have nice traces of the colour case. Fine wood, fore-end has a hairline crack on the right side, stock has traces of handling and a scratch on the right side near the lever. Standard correct front and rear sight. Mechanically perfect and the bore is very fine. It has the early "MODEL 1886" marking on the upper tang. Patent dates of 1884 and 1885 stamped behind the trigger Early gun, made in 1889, third year of production! A total of 159.994 Model 1886's were made, about 16.315 in cal.40-65 WCF.
