MILITARY
Picture of Sergeant in the Civil War Union Army. Three stripes on the left sleeve of his uniform are perfectly visible. Name of soldier "Abner Hinkley" is just visible on bottom of front of card. Reverse has the Military Photographer's names plus the Division they were attached to. Also has a text written " Abner Hinkley, Mother Allin's sister's youngest son", signed Roger Hinkley. Son. Nice touch! According to War Records, Abner Hinkley served in Co.I, 33rd. Reg., died on October 22, 1863 and was buried in Chester, Meigan County Ohio. Upper left and right corners have been cilpped. Very good condition.
