STARR MODEL 1858 DOUBLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER

#22006 Cal. 44 Percussion. Standard 6" Round barrel. Gun retains some blue on barrel and cylider, balance is brown grey. Signs of colour case on the hammer. All serial numbers are matching and correct. There is a second number "3927" on the cylinder, meaning unknown. Factory inspector mark "L" present on practically all metal parts. Mecahnically perfect and comes with a very fine bore. It is a civilian model, no military cartouches. It was manufactured in Jan. 1864. A total of 23.000 Model 1858 revolvers were manufactured, about 21.000 were military and the balance of 2.000 for the civilian market. This is a good example of an rare civilian Civil War revolver that was one of the few double action revolvers used during the Civil War. Fine condition.
