BOXED COLT MODEL 1873 NEW LINE REVOLVER
#633X. Cal. 32RF. 2-1/4" Barrel. 5 shot cylinder. Gun retains about 99% of its original nickel finish. Has blued screws, hammer and trigger. Varnished walnut grips are near perfect. Marked "KM561" on bottom of left grip. Probably denoting previous ownership by "Karl Moldenhauer", the biggest authority on and collector of "Remington Arms" in the world. He must of like this little boxed Colt. After "KM", the gun was part of the "Ron Howard" collection and was sold at the Butterfield & Butterfield auction on March 26, 1981 for a price of $1.320,00! The pasteboard box is in excellent condition. All by all a very scarce and near perfect set extremely diffult to find! Made in 1875. With the box comes a copy of the bill of sale from a very well known U.S. dealer who sold the set during the Baltimore show in 1998 for a price of $3,200 !! If you are looking for the best, this is it!
