MINNEAPOLIS FIREARMS Co. PALM PISTOL

#2050. Cal.32 Extra Short C.F. 7 shot rotary magazine. Blued finish! This unique style palm pistol was originally patented in Paris, France by Jaques E. Turbiaux in 1882. In 1883 Turbiaux obtained a US patent for his gun. Soon afterwards the Minneapolis Firearms Company began producing a 7 round version under patent license called the Protector. Reportedly, about 3,000 of the distinctive Protector palm pistols were manufactured for the Minneapolis Fire Arms Co. circa 1891-1892 by James Duckworth of Springfield, Massachusetts. The standard finish was nickel, but "a scarce few" were blued. Excellent with 65% plus original blue finish remaining, some light scratches and handling marks, crisp markings and checkering, near perfect side panels. Mechanically excellent. Has matching serial numbers! Minneapolis Protectors are particularly hard to find, nearly impossible with blued finish!!! Cartridges shown for information purpuses only!
