U.S. MODEL 1872 HAGNER No.1 CARTRIDGE BOX
Original Caliber 50-70 Government Hagner No.1 Cartridge Box. "U.S." marked in an oval center-embossed on the front of the box. Between the tops of the 2 belt loops a partial visible No.1 is present. An inspector's name "A.S. LAWYER" is stamped on the closing tab. Right side of box is bulged to hold a gun tool. Capacity of box is 24 cartridges in three rows. This is a desirable box, especially in the original 50 Caliber. Many were modified into Caliber 45-70 Gvt. Very fine condition.
