MEXICAN LOOP PATTERN HOLSTER AND BELT

Single loop, hand tooled Mexican leather holster and belt. The front of the holster depicts a Cowboy on his horse in a desert scene with large bold designs around the edges of the holster and the flap. The center loop has a large embossing showing a couple of running deer. The back side is stamped "406 X 6 1/2". The tooling on the holster is extremely well done, however there is no makers name present. The belt is unmarked. This is a Holster and belt for a Colt Model Army Special Revolver in Cal. 41 Long Colt. This type of revolver was manufactured between 1908 and 1924, which is the period holster and belt were made. REF R.I.A. Auction 2013. Rare set in used but very fine condition!
