FRANK WESSON MODEL 1870 MEDIUM FRAME POCKET RIFLE

#624. Cal. 32RF. 20" Full Octagonal barrel, spur trigger, square butt and rosewood grips. This is a second model with an iron frame, external push button type half cock and a standard Wesson extractor wich slides in a dovetail along the right side of the barrel. The barrel turns or rotates on its axis to the right to load. It retains about 85% of the original blue on the barrel with some flaking on the left side. The frame has practically all of the original nickel finish, hammer has 90% colour case. The skeleton type detachable shoulder stock wich numbers to the gun is in perfect condition. Mechanically perfect and has a mint bore! All serial numbers present and correct! Total production of about 5.000, this one manufactured around 1875-1880. Mechanically perfect and has a bright shiny bore. Overall excellent!
