COLT MODEL 1878 DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN
#20741. Cal.12 Gauge. Standard 28" round, side by side barrels. The oil stained walnut stock with pistol grip, has some handling marks and very fine checkering. Barrels have a nice brown patina and a few, hardly noticable dings. Matching serial numbers on frame, forend and barrels under forend. Mechanically perfect. Enthusiasts regard the Colt Model 1878 as one of the finest quality shotguns made in American history. The gun was made in 1886. Total quantity made 22.683. Very Good +.
